Science v/s Commerce : Which one to study in class 11 ?

This is one of the most debatable question in the history to present. I will say both are good and both can be bad as well. I will give you my two different viewpoints and you have to make decision accordingly.

Science v/s Commerce : Which one to study in class 11 ?

View  1: As a Commerce Student

The reasons for my decision to pursue a career in this commerce are many. I opted to pursue a career in commerce since I was unsure of my goals in life.

There is a lot of rivalry in the science field in India, where I live. The majority of my pals are in the science.

If you want to attend a government or private medical school, you must take the NEET (entrance test). It's the most difficult test I've ever taken, in my opinion. Paying coaching fees to prepare for the NEET might be a waste of money for kids' parents.

If they missed the three chances to pass the admission test, many of them were devastated.

Another issue is that medical school tuition is so costly that many students are forced to take out loans with higher interest rates.

Why commerce is better option ?

  1. Admission to any university or institution is a simple process.
  2. As compared to medical and technical schools, they are very low costs.
  3. It's a more convenient stream to learn and create a career.
  4. The alternative to obtaining money from your parents is to work part-time, but in the science stream you must dedicate all of your time to your studies.
  5. You have more time on your hands than science students do.

To provide just one more argument, here it is:

Another huge issue is that while you're in the 11th grade with a scientific stream, you have to deal with a lot of worthless knowledge, such as equations, formulas, and more.

Those in 11th grade with a commerce major have already begun to get the perspective of a businessperson. You've already entered the workforce. You should have begun studying more realistic math that will exercise your brain more than any other kind. And after you've passed the 12th Board, you're ready to run your own business.

View 2 : As a science student:

Is science superior than commerce?

Science, without a doubt, is superior than commerce. Because of these reasons, I would personally advise students to pursue a career in science after completing their 10th grade.

The following are some of the advantages of pursuing a career in science.

As soon as you finish class 12 in science, you have the option to alter your major. If you pass the 12th grade, you get access to every stream. Whereas Commerce and arts students have restricted opportunities comparatively.

As a result of the current economic situation, everyone is searching for a job. Every graduate is seeking for a career, whether it's in accounting, customer service, or any other field. There are a large number of banking-related topics in the list. If the hiring process begins, it's easy to predict who will be selected for a position. Those who pursued a career in commerce or engineering earned their degrees after putting in long hours, completing many assignments, and enduring rigorous coursework.

There are an endless number of disciplines in which you may pursue a career in science if you pick this as your 12th-grade major.

But if you have average(45 percent –60 percent )passing in boards then select commerce since science would not really assist you but make you the worst(Depends how much hard work you do) (Depends how much hard work you do)

Is this still a mystery to you? We believe we have found a solution.

  1. Check out your 10th-grade curriculum at home.
  2. Choose topics in which you excel, those that you are interested in, and those that don't put a lot of stress on you.
  3. Take a piece of paper and write down all of the things you're interested in, then look for a field that relates to those subjects. Next, select a stream based on that field.
  4. It’s not additionally compulsary to pursue science after 10th but is far much superior than commerce.
  5. If everyone else is doing it, don't do it yourself. Your future will be affected by the stream you select, so choose carefully.
  6. Keep to the topics you like and avoid the ones you find boring.
  7. Maintain the finality of your choice.
  8. Listen to everyone but keep your perspective open.

Everyone will blame you if you fail tomorrow because you listened to someone else today; conversely, if you succeed tomorrow because you made a decision for yourself, you will also be held responsible.

You have the option of blaming others or accepting responsibility for your own actions.

Final Words

Again, the choice is yours. All streams are good in my opinion. There is no one-size-fits-all answer. If you're pursuing a career in commerce or the arts, go for it, but only if you're 100% confident. You will be unable to make any changes to your field once it has been selected. That is the field in which you must advance your career. It's a long shot, but it's possible. That's why you should pause and analyze.
